Requiem for Jared

Q: can it get any worse?
A: well, it IS Jared Leto, so yes, I guess so.

I don't know what the hell happened to that guy, I remember him being quite a good actor, but since people started buying his records, he makes beeh movies and even meeeeh-er music.
Come on! Enough with the eyeliner, pink mohawks and auto-tuned music...  I want the old Leto back!
Requiem

pretty sad he looked better as a junkie.

some people just won't overgrow their  ' look how punk and non conformist I am' phase.

really really sad.
sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad

squeezing the song out like that, it doesn't do the song good. And it wasn't so great to start with.

Please Please Mr. Leto, please make a good movie for us and stop this nonsense

Is that you Jim?

Baptiste Giabianco does look the part if you ask me.
Damn.
Makes a fine Lady Gaga too ( or should I say Lady Baaaah)

His voice is one of those you'd recognize eveywhere.
 I love him!

Hate her or love her. I guess I like her better than the Baptiste transvestite version..

They did a goooood job on him! Can't hardly see it's the same person everytime.  That Baptiste is one hell of a poser =)

fierce fairytale

I just had to post this as soon as I saw it!
Vman- mag recently did a nice spread with Shrek characters and it looks pretty cool! It was styled by Nicola Formichetti and he did an awesome job.

Wild Wild World

After a "wild" weekend the past couple of days, it's nice to sit on a big red chair at my parents house and listen to some more relaxing music.

It is the time of planning summer holidays and I am searching everywhere for cheap hotels in different European capitols, unfortunately no far away kinda holiday for me this year, I spent a little too much money on that last year with New York, Mexico and Guatemala. And the little trips to Paris, Berlin and Dublin. Plus the festivals and music award events.

Sweet sweet memories though..

Enough with the memory lane stuff. Feel like a Japanese person putting all these holiday pictures up. This year is going to be pretty different from the last one. Only a few short city trips (one or two) and a festival or two. Not that I mind, more time to party with friends. Save the long distance trips up for next year... if only New York were a little closer to Europe..

And I really need to get to London this year, it's been too damn long since I set foot in that city and I miss it. Maybe I'll pick up a pair of doc. Martens while I'm there, the brand is celebrating it's 50th anniversary this year with some musical collaborations! Although it will be hard to make a decision on which pair I want.

So London, probably Madrid and Dour festival this year. And who knows what else..

I want you

This song is just beautiful.

I want you- Elvis Costello

Musically spoken, I received the Patrick Wolf mailing yesterday saying he's finishing up on the Conquerer and he has a new record deal at a daughter company of Universal, giving him creative freedom yet the possiblity to get more publicity and sell the album at more stores than he could with the Bachelor, which was released on his own label BloodyChamberMusic.
I am really really looking forward to this release!
Until that moment: here's one of my favourite songs from the Wolfman.

Teignmouth- Patrick Wolf

Literary Reference

Recently, I discovered this amazing blog featuring tattoos that have literary references.
Very inspiring since I have one myself. I might even submit it.

Nerd

Ever since one of my friends politely pointed me on the fact that if I weren't interested in fashion, I'd be a complete nerd. I've been thinking about it and he's probably right.
Face it: I grew up playing nes. still know how to cheat my way into winning mario 3, spent a good time playing never winter nights, and reading books about vampires ghosts and other fantasy creatures.
I thought it would have worn of during the years, when I was younger I did look like I walked away out of a bad 80s nerd movie. (Hermione-like hair, funny colourful clothes like leggings with rainbow stripes and purple shoes) but when in high school I kinda grew over it : the hair sleeked down and fashion sense dripped in. So nobody ever made any comments on my maybe a bit weird interests.

But I still love my inner nerd, and after spending some time in New York City, I feel the entire world is embracing theirs! Just walk around in the city (more specifically the village or Brooklyn) for some time and see the geek glory!

Offcourse there is a wrong and a right for geeks too....

Let's say this is wrong, although the guy in the left top corner probably has the most amazing grandma.
Now let's see some right:

I'd love me some of these Hermes, messenger of the Gods, adidas sneakers. Greek mythology rules!

Or the amaaaazing casio calculator watch!

Inspiration

Since I have a rather boring day job right now, I sneaked in some looklet breaks during the day.
Releasing my inner stylist so to say.

I like the one with the library background the best. That skirt was made for me!

Cole Mohr

I couldn't resist.
My first blog had to be about four of the most wanted male models with tattoos.
I have a certain weakness for them, especially Cole Mohr,
I could eat him.
Seriously.
